Director, Institutional Effectiveness

Job Description:
The Director of Institutional Effectiveness provides leadership for and manages all necessary functions relating to the collecting, organizing, maintaining, sharing, analyzing, and interpreting data for both internal and external constituencies.  The Director serves as the Chief Data Officer for the university and ensures the integrity of data and information released in reports or studies.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

·        Coordination and management of an institution-wide data strategy

·        Providing data to internal constituents to support data-driven decision making, assessment, grants, and other functions to promote institutional effectiveness

·        Providing quantitative and qualitative research and analysis to support evidence-based planning and decision making

·        Monitoring the overall integrity of data, complying with state and federal requirements, and working with other offices to address any data discrepancies

·        Providing data literacy training and support for all campus stakeholders

·        Oversight of the submission of reports and surveys to state and federal agencies, the Board of Regents, accreditors, and other external constituencies

·        Providing data and document support for accreditation efforts

·        Administering, analyzing and sharing data from designated university-wide surveys, currently including the National Survey of Student Engagement

·        Oversight of the course evaluation process, including training for faculty, chairs, and deans

·        Providing leadership for and evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness office staff, as well as oversight of the Institutional Effectiveness office budget

·        Participating in university committees as assigned

·        Other duties as assigned

Supervision:
This position reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs

Minimum Qualifications:

·        Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, physics, social sciences, education, business, or related field

·        Three or more years of experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis

·        Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Experience with dashboard software

·        Experience with predictive analytics software

·        Experience working at a higher education institution

·        Experience managing an office of institutional research/institutional effectiveness in an educational setting

Starting Salary:
$65,000
