Job Description Summary:

Reporting to the Associate Dean of Admissions and Enrollment Management, the Director for Medical School Admissions for the OUWB School of Medicine has overarching responsibility for leading and managing all operational aspects of the MD admissions process, from initial outreach to matriculation. Specifically, the Director supports the Associate Dean with design, implementation, maintaining and evaluating all programs, policies and systems that support student admissions. The Director will represent the OUWB School of Medicine to various constituents and at multiple events throughout the country. Serve as the primary contact and liaison to internal and external constituents in collaborative efforts of program reporting and data analysis. The Director will work with the Associate Dean in strategic planning, program development and funding outreach.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• A minimum of 6 (six) years' experience in professional school admissions with experience in medical school admissions plus 2 (two) year's of supervisory/management experience.
• Knowledge of the rules of confidentiality pertaining to student records (FERPA, Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act).
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate staff, solve problems, and respond tactfully in dealing with sensitive matters pertaining to students, parents, staff, and faculty.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple assignments in a detailed manner in an environment with frequent interruptions.
• Experience in AMCAS (American Medical College Application Service) admissions software.
• Experience in data analysis.
• Experience in major project management.
• Experience in program development.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree.
• Experience with medical school holistic admissions.
