Position Summary:       

The Director for Entertainment and IP Law Placement focuses on increasing opportunities for Cardozo students and graduates with organizations in the Fashion, Art, Media and Entertainment fields, as well those firms and corporations with intellectual property specializations. The Director will mobilize the community of Cardozo Law School and Cardozo’s FAME Center to continue and amplify Cardozo’s success in these exciting fields.

The Director for Entertainment and IP Law Placement will advocate for current students to increase entry level jobs year-on-year. In addition, the Director will be dedicated to cultivating the Cardozo graduates who are already successful in FAME industries and in intellectual property.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Track every lateral move, promotion, entry level hire into large firms across the country;
  • Meet and cultivate relationships with every Cardozo graduate in FAME fields;
  • Create network of recent graduates who will mentor and advocate for current student hires;
  • Promote the success of Cardozo graduates in intellectual property and FAME fields;
  • Coordinate the on-campus presence for lawyers at Cardozo events and other opportunities where students and alumni might connect;
  • Publicize and educate employers on the strength of Cardozo’s curriculum, practical experience, and reputation;
  • Monitor summer opportunities, externships, and other internships in these fields;
  • Cultivate the community of students interested in FAME and intellectual property fields.

Experience & Educational Background:

  • JD preferred; experience in the entertainment field required.
  • 3 years of experience as a lawyer or recruiting professional preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills; and
  • Community building and networking skills.

Salary Range:

$85,000 - $95,000
