About the Position

 

The Director, Employer Solutions - Funnel GTM directs the development and activation of the University’s go-to-market and engagement strategy for the Employer Solutions – Funnel GTM team and partners with various teams within Marketing to activate communication touches and drive revenue growth across the portfolio of the University’s education solutions for employers. The Director, Employer Solutions - Funnel GTM translates institutional strategy to marketing requirements and go-to-market plans, developing pilot initiatives and activation opportunities, project plans, briefing in those requirements, driving implementation, identifying and solving issues, monitoring results and refining plans as needed, and optimizing performance of the go-to-market plans.  Additionally, the individual partners with the Employer Solutions – Branding GTM, Channel, Creative and Marketing Operations teams, Workforce Solutions and other key stakeholders in the business, and external resources to deliver on objectives.


What You’ll Do

 

1. Direct the development and activation of the University's Employer Solutions – Funnel go-to-market plans; collaborate with leadership to develop pilot initiatives, activate opportunities and other programs to drive revenue growth; oversee implementation of go-to-market strategies and other initiatives, resolution of issues, and data analysis to ensure successful implementation and optimization of outcomes.

2. Implement data-driven strategies to optimize processes and scale workflows across the sales and marketing technology stack throughout the revenue lifecycle in support of all channels within the University’s go-to-market plans related to education solutions for employers. Stay up-to-date on the latest demand generation, lead generation and RevOps trends and best practices.

3. Develop a strong partnership with Workforce Solutions and Professional Development leaders; provide data insights, develop new workflow processes and refine targeting based on sales goals. In collaboration with sales leadership, execute digital marketing strategies, including website updates, that target net new accounts and existing alliance relationships to support new sales, cross-sell and upsell opportunities for the University’s portfolio of education solutions for employers. Deliver data driven insights to support employer segmentation, ideal customer profile, persona development, and customer journey mapping.

4. Design and execute workflows within CRM that support sales funnel conversions, account engagement and intent data platform to convert marketing prospects to sales qualified leads.

5. Provide counsel and recommendations for continued optimization and performance improvement of Funnel GTM strategies, as appropriate, to business and functional leadership; develop briefs and activate approved testing roadmap elements to address business problems represented, leveraging insights from research, data and learnings, in line with the strategic direction of the University; monitor and optimize efforts that better meet business needs, while driving revenue growth from Employer Solutions products and services.

6. Build strong working relationships and work collaboratively with IT, Operations, Legal and Compliance, Creative and Channel teams to bring to life all Employer Solutions – Funnel engagement initiatives through various means, including communication touches such as phoenix.edu, email, direct mail, SMS Text, Phone and other new technologies throughout the engagement experience.

7. Partner with Marketing Analytics to track and analyze user behavior and response to contact efforts from Marketing data platforms (such as CRM, marketing automation, and intent). Optimize efforts to improve engagement and drive business results based on learnings.

8. Select, mentor, coach and evaluate staff; establish and monitor appropriate employee performance objectives; prepare and present employee performance discussions, including one-on-one meetings and quarterly check-ins; implement mentoring and coaching plans, or disciplinary action, where appropriate.

What You Bring to the Table

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field

• Seven (7) years of experience in product marketing, and/or go-to-market plan development, with a strong focus on related area(s) of responsibility, that included at least five (5) years of experience collaborating closely with sales teams to ensure marketing efforts support sales objectives and contribute to revenue generation, and at least five (5) years of experience implementing campaigns and building workflows within CRM systems, marketing automation and email platforms, intent data platforms and RevOps related technologies (such as CDP, and DMP)

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in higher education or other verticals with a considered decision-making purchase journey 

• Strategic and analytical background 

• Collaborative nature and experience working in highly matrixed environment

• Fluent in agile methodology and processes

• Thrives under pressure and in fast-paced and changing environment

• Skilled at digesting key insights from data and conceptualizing go-to-market testing ideas and plans from scratch

• Proven experience in designing go-to-market strategies/plans spanning a broad lifecycle and a variety of segments

• Strong knowledge of marketing technology and personalization enablement 

• Strong communicator with good public speaking skills to present to senior leadership and other cross-functional groups

• Experience collaborating with both internal and external cross-functional teams in the design and execution of go-to-market plans

• Experience in developing strong partnerships with internal marketing partners cross-functionally and external agencies and media partners

• Proven experience in a progressively responsible capacity leading and/or acting as a resource to department staff as it relates to integrated marketing initiatives, processes, and activities

• High level of conceptual and strategic thinking

• Strong attention to detail and project management skills

Pay Range


The annual pay range for this position is $98,000 (minimum), $148,100 (midpoint), and $198,200 (maximum).*


*Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range. Actual starting base pay may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, location and budget.
