Organization and Job Summary

DPSS leads all public safety functions within the university, including police, security, and emergency management, and offers an integrated approach to safety and security, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Reporting to the Senior Advisor of Infrastructure and Standards, you will be responsible for leading the short-term and long-term vision of training and education for DPSS. You will develop and implement training strategies, establish projects, and create learning programs and processes to support our DPSS Training and Education Center (D-TEC). D-TEC facilitates training for 500+ internal DPSS staff, University constituents, public officials, and community members. DTEC exists to create, engage, and encourage individual and organizational effectiveness by developing and offering accessible training programs to support our commitment to workforce development and partnerships and service to our community. We deliver training through multiple platforms, including classroom, virtual, self-paced, instructor-led synchronous, asynchronous, and online learning strategies. You will spearhead D-TEC?s establishment as a world-class public safety training and education center.
