Director, Creighton University Retreat Center- Griswold, Iowa

The Director of the Creighton University Retreat Center will live onsite at the retreat center to provide a university presence to overnight guests.  The director will provide overall vision and leadership for the operations, promotion and spiritual works of the center.   All functions and activities will be performed within the stated purposes and the Catholic, Jesuit, Ignatian mission of Creighton University.  The Director will empower and encourage the creation, development and ongoing effectiveness of all programs and activities.  This position will report to the Senior Director of Housing & Auxiliary Services at Creighton. 

Master degree in spirituality, ministry, or related field.
1-3 yrs experience in Ignatian Spirituality and/or spiritual direction
Strong interpersonal and hospitality skills with a strong commitment to guest satisfaction.
Diplomacy is a must.
Demonstrated leadership, supervision and staff development skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while accurately attending to details.
Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of major events.
Commitment to the Catholic, Jesuit mission of Creighton University.
A Certificate of spiritual direction is required
