Description

 

Responsible for the operational implementation and direction of the day-to-day activities for the Cougar Card program within the University including UH Sugar Land and UH Katy and serves as point of contact for UHS card office leaders.

1. Plans, develops, and implements campus card services and directs the daily activities and operations of the UH Cougar Card program.
2. Provides input to goals and objectives for campus card services as well as develops business/marketing plans for campus card operations.
3. Oversees the day-to-day system-wide campus card system contract and develops, implements and monitors contract compliance and provides support to UH System card office liaisons to ensure acceptable performance by vendor and confirmation of contract compliance.
4. Directs the daily administrative operations of the campus card program, oversees general personnel issues, contract development, contract compliance & management, vendor performance, cost center oversight and reconciliation.
5. Develops and prepares annual budget, to include review of service fees and service level agreements.
6. Establishes collaborative relationships across campus community in support of card program growth and service enhancements.
7. Directs the operations of the Cougar Card On-Line Program, which includes the digital Cougar Card, and oversees the activities of the online system, which includes but not limited to meal plans, building access, printing across the campus, and ShastaBUCKS flexible spending program.
8. Develops and maintains a quality assurance program for card operations to include customer feedback and periodic program reviews.
9. Regularly attends/presents at relevant seminars and conferences, and actively participates in industry peer networking in order to keep abreast of current trends and new information regarding the campus card industry.
10. Responsible for continued process efficiency improvement and management including development/revising policies and procedures, establishing comprehensive workflows, and developing industry supported best practices/KPIs.
11. Oversees the administration of the shared governance card comprised of key representation across campus stakeholders.
12. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications

 

Bachelors and 5 years experience

Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
