Director, Communication and Marketing, Auxiliary Services

The communications & marketing director will take a lead role in developing University of North Georgia Auxiliary Services marketing strategy. This position leads research, planning, and implementation of all Auxiliary Services marketing and communication initiatives and oversees creative development for all auxiliary units.

  • In alignment with UNG branding, develop an integrated communication strategic plan for all auxiliary units to include print and digital content (website, video, socials, email) to effectively serve student population. 
  • Research, plan, and budget marketing initiatives for Auxiliary events.
  • Oversee and direct staff and campus partners responsible for implementing creative marketing campaigns and programs that integrate print, social and digital materials and related online communications activities. 
  • Monitors and reviews marketing and communication projects to ensure that all deadlines are met and that the end-product meets quality standards. 
  • Establish and review of departmental procedures to include compliance with university branding and marketing guidelines. 
  • Provide data and reporting on communication effectiveness of auxiliary services through student, faculty, and staff surveys and social posts as needed. Identify trends and analyze data to create and implement data-driven marketing strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 
  • Bachelor's degree is required. 
  • Requires three years of experience in developing marketing materials and written communication is required. 
  • Previous Supervisory experience is required. 
  • Auxiliary experience is preferred.
