|Summary of Duties||
Responsible for the overall vision and leadership for the development and implementation of innovative college-wide information technology programs and services that support the college mission and strategic goals. Provides leadership and supervision to the College IT staff and its supporting infrastructure; exercises significant executive leadership experience in planning, developing and maintaining complex information systems or other advanced technologies; serves as a member of the College administrative services team and is responsible for advising on matters related to the use of technology in support of the College’s mission; represents the College to the university’s Office of the CIO, and to other intramural peer organizations and extramural constituencies; tracks emerging technologies, determines their applicability to the College and its mission, advises, and recommends accordingly; leads the College’s efforts in technology planning, policy development, information security and integrity, and budgeting; operates with a high degree of autonomy, but works and communicates regularly with the leadership of the College; assumes assigned security responsibility as HIPAA Security Officer in accordance with HIPAA 164.308(a)(2); responsible for implementation of technical safeguards for compliance with the HIPAA security rule; leads the selection of IT and instructional technology support staff.

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to install and maintain network-based groupware for users.
Electronic Medical Records experience; extensive experience administering a large complex IT system; project and work group management experience; strong IT security background including HIPAA compliance and ISO 17799 standards.
