The Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking additional internal medicine physicians to join our expanding programs in General Internal Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus and the University of Maryland Medical Center.  These positions will provide attending hospitalist responsibilities on our non-teaching Direct Care Hospitalist Services at both campuses, though they will be primarily based at one of the two campuses. This hospitalist staffing model aligns with the faculty staffing model of the University of Maryland School of Medicine, in which faculty’s clinical responsibilities typically span both campuses.

The expected faculty rank for all positions is Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be dependent upon selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.  We offer an e xcellent salary and benefits package through the State of Maryland.

Qualifications

 

Ideal candidates will possess outstanding clinical and organizational skills, and a strong commitment to quality patient care.  All candidates must be board certified/eligible in internal medicine and eligible for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland.  Applicants must be eligible for US employment immediately and for at least one year from hire date.
