Job Summary/Basic Function | Diplomatic History is seeking a graduate student from the Indiana State University History Department to serve as an editorial assistant. This position is 20hrs/week. An interest in transnational history or the histories of various world regions and periods 1700 to the present is desirable but not necessary. Excellent writing, editing and communication skills are required. |

Job Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities | Editorial assistants have a substantial role in producing the journal and shaping its content. Editorial Assistants are considered professional editors. Their names appear on the masthead of the journal. Working collaboratively, they read and make preliminary assessments of all incoming manuscripts, process books for review, assist in selecting referees, edit and proofread copy, correspond with authors, and work with both authors and the publisher’s production team to assure accurate and timely publication of the journal. |
