We’re currently searching for a Data & Systems Analyst for Dining Services to join our Finance and Planning team in Blacksburg, VA, to help support the programs and services of Student Affairs. HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS ROLE:
1) You’ll be responsible for being the data technical expert for Dining Services by
- collecting real-time and historical data
- utilizing statistical methodology to formulate appropriate research hypotheses
- conducting suitable analyses accurately and efficiently
- properly interpreting the results to enhance operational improvements
2) You’ll be exercising strong consultative proficiencies and delivering clear and timely reports, charts, graphs, and presentations aimed at providing actionable insights that will enable strategic decision-making.
3) You’ll be assuming a critical role in overseeing and managing the GrubHub OneView database system for foods, beverages, and services, utilizing the GrubHub mobile ordering vendor.
4) You’ll be leveraging project management skills to facilitate GrubHub integration on the VT campus. This includes liaising with cross-functional departments to ensure software and equipment installation and maintenance are completed on time and within budget so that GrubHub is fully operational to support the mobile ordering services.
5) You’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the extensive database system, which encompasses over 2,000 items provided by 45 venues in VT Dining Services annually.
6) You’ll be reporting directly to the Associate Director of Contracts and Administration for the Finance and Planning department.
7) You’ll be offered a base compensation package between $60,000-$70,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and so much more!
