As a Product Manager, you will be a key part of the global Digital and AI products team, and serve as a critical bridge between data science and engineering teams and the areas of business we support. You are an expert in data science workflows and also in our business strategy and operations. This role owns prioritization, communication, stakeholder management, design and specifications for specific products within the Digital and AI products team’s portfolio. You will ensure overall success of the data science product roadmap. You will contribute to the global Digital Transformation community, share your knowledge and benefit from other colleagues’ experience in designing scalable, global digital and AI products to solve business problems and seize business opportunities.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Throughout all stages of the product development process, represent the needs of end-users, evaluate market trends and competition, and use this information to determine what features to build that deliver business value to those users
  • Define Minimum Viable Product, release plan and features plan ensuring continuous evolution of the product to stay relevant and serving user needs
  • Possess sufficient technological understanding to assess feasibility, decide on product design and deployment model, and make decisions on the technology stack with the support of technical teams if needed
  • Responsible for the strategic roadmap and for managing convergence of products to the same code repository, balancing customization and configuration needs
  • Own and drive the roadmap for a key Digital and AI product or a portfolio of Digital and AI products, delivering updates on products to all levels of the organization including senior management
  • Simplify problems and write clear, detailed requirements in easy-to-understand language for both data scientists and engineers, and business users.
  • Brainstorm product ideas with executives, test hypotheses, estimate financial costs and benefits, and determine priority of viable products.
  • Embed into products deep understanding of our business ecosystem, business user behaviors, consumer behaviors with a focus on step-change and growth • Clearly communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for each product to stakeholders using a range of formal and informal communication channels
  • Manage the data science and data engineering workflows across the globe to launch and scale the product, leveraging Agile frameworks: align priorities and dependencies; manage and mitigate risks; set clear acceptance criteria
  • Build products to ensure scalability, incorporating different needs into the roadmap, driving uniformity wherever possible and enabling customization where strategically warranted
  • Monitor competitive and comparable capabilities to inform product strategy and design
  • Drive internal metrics for measuring speed to market, quality of development, and business value attainment
  • Be responsible for other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience

Additional Qualifications and Skills

Required: 

  • Bachelors degree or commensurate work experience is required
  • 7+ years in product management, operations, data science/engineering, digital, technology, or strategic consulting is required.
Additional/Desired: 
  • Strong experience with digital product development and a technical background:
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority
  • Skilled in data analysis and test-and-learn decision making
  • Innovative mindset and result driven
  • Strong understanding of data science and engineering workflows
  • Prior experience manipulating data sets through statistical software – Pivot Tables a minimum; SQL strongly desired; Python or R nice to have 
  • Working knowledge of data visualization and data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms – e.g., AWS, Google Cloud – and related technologies
  • Excellent communication and storytelling communicating complex concepts and ideas in different formats
  • Ability to excite, motivate, and coach a team, while driving to deadlines and delivering value
  • Ownership mentality: own the wins and losses of products
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with ability to “think big, start small, scale fast”
  • High level of organization and detail orientation, with ability to work across multiple projects/initiatives, troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Experience working in agile methodology
  • Expertise in multivariate statistical modelling (e.g. clustering, regression, principal components and factor analysis, time-series forecasting, Bayesian methods) and machine learning (Random Forest, KNN, SVM, boosting and bagging, regularization etc.)
  • Familiarity with neural networks, deep learning, and reinforcement learning using frameworks such as TensorFlow
  • Experience with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
    • ROI of products / value delivered
    • Speed to market
    • Scaled solutions
    • Organizational understanding/awareness/use of products

Additional Information

This role is offered as remote possible or hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA based campus. Specific days and schedule will be determined between you and your manager.
