General Description
The Digital Media Lab Graduate Assistant performs a variety of tasks in Digital Media and 3D Print Lab.
Essential Job Duties
1. Assisting the Digital Media Coordinator in preparing for class visits, project support, and supervising the clean-up and storage of equipment /devices that have been used for instruction. 
2. Assisting with 3D printing, 3D scanning, setting up files for 3D printing, and maintaining and monitoring 3D printers during print times. 
3. Assisting in photo and video capture and editing for internal events and library website/social media support. 
4. Assisting in design, creation, and curation of displays in the library.
Education and Experience
Undergraduate degree. 
 
Must be enrolled in the University of Montevallo 
graduate program
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
1. Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships with diverse populations: including Library staff, Faculty and students with the occasional local patron. 
2. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: with a Focus on Illustrator and Photoshop and Audio editing software. 
3. Knowledge of data preservation and management (scanning, data backup and retrieval). 
4. Ability to represent the library and University in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. 
5. Ability to track and create reports on student and faculty usage in the library ’s Digital Media Lab.
