Digital Media Coordinator (part-time)

Position Summary:       

The Digital Media Coordinator edits and optimizes media across all online digital channels. The two major components of the role are for website requests/updates and digital marketing graphic design. This role helps to support important Yeshiva University MarComm (Graduate School) team digital marketing projects and tasks. Position will be about 15 hours per week and is remote.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Updates, edits, and maintains relevant YU marketing webpages based on stakeholders’ web requests
  • Monitors social media posts and comments for content posting representing YU internal stakeholders
  • Works with internal stakeholders to optimize digital marketing and revenue opportunities
  • Provides assistance to the membership, underwriting, and development teams to manage and optimize digital placements on multiple platforms, including web, social, app, and streaming ads
  • Trains and assists content editors on use of Drupal CMS
  • Stays current on Drupal CMS feature updates to optimize web user experience
  • Manages, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots communication channels, including website, app, and online video portal
  • Updates video message board
  • Develops relationships and engages with media and influencers via social media
  • This is a New York based job with a remote option.

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization
  • One year of professional experience as a graphic designer, photographer/videographer, or webmaster
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered
  • Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS

Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of social media platforms and ability to implement social media campaigns
  • Knowledge and ability to create digital graphic design with strong aesthetics that work with branding guidelines
  • Basic knowledge of UX/UI design
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with attention to detail and within deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting and technical skills
  • Ability to think critically and make clear, well-reasoned and timely decisions
  • Ability to establish and maintain a good rapport with university faculty, staff, students, and the general public
  • Ability to operate personal computers with proficiency and learn new applications and systems

Salary Range: 

  • $18 - $20 per hour
