Job Description

The Digital Marketing Specialist for Global Launch's Marketing Department is responsible for managing and optimizing the pipeline, ensuring lead generation health, and improving conversion rates.

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager and in collaboration with the marketing team, the Digital Marketing Specialist will learn the world of international higher education. This role requires a creative and analytical individual with a strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, lead management, and data analysis. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the marketing team, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive effective lead generation campaigns and maximize conversion rates.

This person already has the technical skills and experience needed to succeed, but is seeking an opportunity to develop and advance their career within global marketing and communications and is looking for growth potential on a diverse and innovative team.

Knowledge and Skills Needed in this position:

  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficient in writing and editing persuasive copy for interactive media, with experience in AP style writing.
  • Familiarity with CRM software, preferably Salesforce and Pardot, and data analysis techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights from data and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Actively participate in the development of new ideas or improvements in process workflow.

Essential Duties

This position will help promote Global Launch’s English programs and services to an international audience using skills and creativity in:

Pipeline Management:

  • Develop and execute strategies to manage the lead pipeline effectively, ensuring a steady flow of qualified leads throughout the customer journey through Salesfroce and Pardot.
  • Implement lead nurturing programs to engage and convert prospects at different stages of the pipeline.
  • Analyze pipeline data and provide insights to optimize lead management processes, including lead scoring and segmentation.

Lead Generation Health:

  • Conduct research and identify trends in digital marketing to enhance lead generation efforts.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and internal stakeholders to curate digital content for lead generation campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the health of lead generation activities and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Conversion Rate Optimization:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve conversion rates across digital channels, including paid media campaigns (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Google, etc.).
  • Draft, edit, and disseminate persuasive and on-brand copy for paid media campaigns to maximize conversions.
  • Conduct ROI analysis to measure the effectiveness of marketing channels and tactics, identifying areas for optimization and implementing necessary adjustment

Salesforce Data Management:

  • Utilize CRM software to track and analyze lead data, providing regular reports on lead generation performance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Global Launch’s data architecture, manage lead communication within Salesforce, query data to make data driven decisions

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including executive-level staff, and external vendors, to align marketing strategies and ensure seamless execution of lead generation initiatives.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to convey key messages and ensure adherence to brand positioning and strategy across all channels and formats.
  • Assist with management of a group of up to up to 6 student workers who make up the Global Launch Student Ambassador team; Day-to-day training; Troubleshooting; Assigning tasks/keeping up with tasks; Handling translation assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business, Digital Strategy, Communications or related field appropriate to the area of assignment and two (2) years of related experience in digital marketing, communications or business including experience with marketing project management and use of social media technologies: OR, or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of lead nurturing strategies and tactics to engage and convert prospects.
  • Experience with Photoshop, InDesign
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X or related video editing programs.

  • Experience with International student recruitment, engagement and retention. 
  • Experience with Email marketing, automation and data analysis.

  • Experience with Blogging, website content management
  • Experience with Conducting online forums and market research
  • Experience with major social media platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of Global Launch programs and department a plus. 

Working Environment

  • Applicant may need to be available as necessary outside of normal business hours for attendance of events to promote content online as necessary.
  • Activities are performed in an environmentally-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.
  • Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
  • Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
