Job Description:

Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Marketing and Creative, the Digital Marketing Campaign Manager is a marketing professional responsible for executing the social media plans that help generate, nurture, and yield applicants for the programs offered at Berklee College of Music, Berklee Summer Programs, BerkleeNYC, Berklee Valencia, and other areas as needed. 

While the Digital Marketing Campaign Manager’s primary responsibility will be overseeing paid social media efforts, they will also be expected to have a working knowledge of the overall digital marketing landscape, including utilizing content marketing as a means of lead generation and using social media best practices and industry trends to tastefully insert Berklee into relevant conversations to increase brand awareness and conversions. The candidate must also be comfortable compiling and interpreting marketing data, while providing digestible reports that include core insights and actionable recommendations. 

This person will work closely with the enrollment marketing team, including marketing managers, data team, and creative team, and with organic social media managers across the institution. This is a highly collaborative role, and the ability to work well across all areas of the department and the institution is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the strategy, creation, and execution of engaging paid social media campaigns for Berklee College of Music, Berklee Summer Programs, BerkleeNYC, Berklee Valencia, and other areas as needed.

  • Create paid campaigns across a variety of social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, SnapChat, etc. Develop and maintain relationships with social platform representatives.

  • Closely monitor budget and spend, with an eye toward efficiency and optimization.

  • Collaborate with marketing managers and marketing creative teams to develop audiences, refine targeting, and optimize content strategy based on results.

  • Work closely with the data analysis team to build comprehensive reports and ensure marketing attribution for social campaigns is working properly.

  • Measure and report on social media KPIs.

  • Share ideas with the creative team to ensure that our creative assets are continuously refreshed using data from previous campaigns.

  • Closely monitor social media trends and changes that could impact how we advertise on those platforms.

  • Collaborate with Berklee campus departments, including the Office of External Affairs, to maintain brand consistency and alignment with the rest of Berklee.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of professional paid social media and/or digital marketing experience. Specialization in music and/or higher education marketing is a plus.

  • Fluent (written/spoken) in English language. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

  • Demonstrated expertise running paid social media campaigns, including campaigns for both domestic and international audiences, on platform-specific ad managers (Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn Ads Manager, etc.)

  • Impeccable written and oral communication skills

  • Outstanding attention to detail

  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment as well as independently

  • Demonstrated skill in managing projects effectively to deliver on-time and on-budget

  • Must have the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail

  • Must have a great attitude and be a self-starter with the ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced atmosphere with high standards for quality, accuracy, and innovation.

  • Experience with project management tools (Asana) preferred.  

  • Familiarity with today’s music styles, leading musical figures, and the basic structure/organization of the music industry

  • Familiarity with behavioral and lead generation marketing practices. Hands-on experience in other paid media channels (search, programmatic) is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Marketo (marketing automation) and Salesforce (CRM) is preferred but not required.
