Job Overview

Conceptualize and produce innovative presentations and creative design solutions.


Essential Functions
  • Comprehend UC’s strategic direction and convey complex concepts and leadership principles through infographics, including social graphics.
  • Collaborate with leaders, creative directors, project managers, writers, and other Contributors to develop creative solutions that align with our strategic goals.
  • Communicate creative concepts effectively to team members.
  • Act as a steward of our brand, and digital assets while executing strong, brand-compliant work.
  • Utilize experience and knowledge of current graphic design software to produce visual material and create day to day artwork.
  • Deployment of work and delivery of final art, including PowerPoint, Acrobat, Infographics, and innovative print collateral.
  • Generate, proofread, and edit finished product and ensure that all design work follows university branding standards.
  • Maintain design standards for all material produced; stay abreast of technological advances in the field; recommend alternate approaches to design and production for cost-effective printed materials; maintain records and files.
  • Participate in creative ideation, project kickoffs/briefs, and other team exercises.
  • Consult with team on requested projects; make recommendations and decisions related to design, ideas, approach, costs, technical specifications, etc.
  • Liaison with printers, suppliers, etc. for assigned projects; write all specifications for printing, supplies, bids, etc.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of the eduaction requirement.

Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Experience creating original content using industry-standard software for a variety of different mediums, including print and digital.
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft PowerPoint, fluency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Solid understanding of digital and design technology and willingness to learn new platforms as needed.
  • Comfortable working in both print and digital realms.
  • Organized, deadline-oriented designer who can work quickly with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Motivated and accountable self-starter who can tackle challenges with a customer-centric attitude.
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience and proficiency in video and motion graphics production.
  • Able to manage personal workload.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
