Digital Accessibility Analyst

Digital Accessibility Analyst who promotes digital accessibility in the College of Medicine (COM) as defined by the Ohio State ADA Coordinator. Ensures new software is evaluated and necessary accommodations and/or remediation are negotiated prior to purchase; Ensures that existing software is evaluated in a timely manner and based on risk, and that proper accommodations and/or remediation efforts are planned and carried through; Consults with units in COM to evaluation their products and recommend designs and development strategies to improve the accessibility of their product; Supports faculty and staff to make the digital pieces they create for their teaching accessible; Works with other units on campus as well as other universities to share information about software purchases and accessibility updates on existing software; Performs a yearly audit to make sure faculty and staff have taken training as well as an audit of software to verify that it has been checked for accessibility; Manually tests software and suggest accommodations and/or remediation that needs to happen to make it accessible.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 2 years of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Requires successful completion of a background check.  Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
