What you need to know

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s experience.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of related experience in direct database management, bookkeeping, and creating correspondence.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Account Management - Manages development-related TAMU Foundation accounts, serving as liaison between Mays Business School financial staff and Foundation financial staff.
  • College Support - Assists and supports all Mays Business School development activities, including donor recognition activities, cultivation events, and donor communications. Assists in the preparation of donor gift agreements and proposals. Processes asset transmittal forms to deposit donor gifts. Maintains records and coordinates the status of donor gifts with Foundation records.
  • Development Support - Supports development activities of the Assistant Vice President for Development and Assistant Directors of Development in the areas of travel coordination, correspondence, weekly reports, donor file maintenance, calendar, proposals, gift agreements, and new accounts.
  • VP/Director/Assistant Director Support - Assists in coordinating and implementing meetings, VIP visits, and special events. Special events responsibilities include but are not limited to: Prepares and maintains project budget; Prepares program of events; Coordination between Board of Regents, Presidents Office, Corporation, and/or CEO offices for member availability and resource availability; Creates and/or provides support in the creation of invitations, programs, brochures, etc.; Coordinates mailing of invitations; Maintains RSVP list of attendees; Coordinates hotel and transportation accommodations for guests and distinguished executives; Plans meals and receptions; Schedules and coordinates speaking programs and entertainment; Works closely with donors funding programs to manage expectations.
  • Recognition Award - Assists in the coordination of development activities at the college, department, and center levels. Creates and obtains recognition awards for various levels of giving. Maintains donor lists and continues cultivation/stewardship of donors with Mays Business School. Designs and produces thank you notes and other correspondence for donors. Performs other duties as assigned.
