Description

 

Address technical issues to ensure a quick restoration of service or proper escalation. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues including but not limited to computers, ‎printers, mobile devices, video conferencing, peripherals,  remote technical assistance and diagnostics. Develop documentation for the knowledgebase. Deploy software packages within centralized desktop management systems for Windows and Macintosh operating systems. Proactively support the day-to-day security of the desktop environment, including desktop operating systems, firewalls, antivirus, and software patching. Support the file services environment including reporting, creating folders, permissions management, managing space utilization, and consulting for file services needs.




Qualifications

 
Required:

  • Associate's degree with computer-related coursework.
  • Two years' experience in IT desktop support with demonstrated experience in problem/incident identification and resolution.
  • Advanced computing and mobile device knowledge, as well as knowledge in hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Knowledge in PC configuration and security, security patching, directory and permissions settings and administration.
  • Knowledge of desktop support troubleshooting tools.
  • Valid US or Canadian driver's license.

Preferred:
  • Experience in mobile device support.
  • Experience developing day-to-day computer support processes.
  • Scripting language experience.
  • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager or other global desktop administration and management software experience.
  • Microsoft Active Directory experience.
  • Experience maintaining file services.
