Posting Summary
Rutgers, The Statue University of New Jersey is seeking a Deputy Director Global Tuberculosis for NJMS- Global Tuberculosis Institute. This position directs the development, organization, evaluation, control, and administration of the Global TB Institute at Rutgers.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • As the principal management officer, shares with the Executive Director the administration and scientific management responsibility by participating in all matters of policy formulation and interpretation; establishment of program plans and objectives, allocation and/or shift of personnel, funding and other resources; monitoring of projects and programs, program and personnel evaluation; and the ongoing responsibilities for program management, direction and leadership
  • Assumes full authority for the operation of the Institute and is authorized to make all decisions, commitments, etc., except those requiring professional medical qualifications.
  • Responsible for the preparation, review, and coordination of formal planning and budget justification documents, information, option and decision documents, special reports, and other programmatic documents required by CDC, NJMS, UH and NJDOH.
  • Prepares periodic and special reports on Institute activities and accomplishments as required by Rutgers, NJMS, UH, NJDOH, and CDC for publication and distribution.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Master’s degree (Ph.D. desirable) in Hospital Administration, Public Health, Health Policy and Administration, Business Administration or a related field
  • Plus six (6) years of experience in coordinating administrative and fiscal activities, expediting programs, assessing personnel and formulating policies in a health care environment.
  • At least three (3) years shall have been in a managerial capacity.
  • Additional related experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

Immunization Requirements
