Required Degree: Master's degree; PhD preferred. The required degree must be completed before start date.

 

Experience: Prior post-secondary teaching experience preferred.

 

Duties/Expectations: To be able to teach HRM 300/391 (Organizational Behavior/Organizational Effectiveness), and HRM 413 (Managerial Leadership Development), to full-time Pre-Business students in the Marriott School of Business at BYU during Fall Semester, 2024.

 

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Actively engage students though frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed and conveys a genuine energy and enthusiasm for their learning.
  • Guide students in active collaboration and the application of their learning in problem-and project based learning demonstrations.
  • Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing methods effectively for the assessment of student work, and acknowledging student accomplishments.
  • Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic program.
  • Knowledge of subject-matter and course content pertinent to General Business.
  • Excellent teaching skills.
  • Interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Curriculum development skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
