Job Summary

Assist the Computer Science Computing Facility (CSCF) in IT unix support and support the Principle Investigator for the research cluster.

Essential Functions

  • Design, implement and maintain hardware and software systems for a research test cluster.
  • Software coding, debugging and documentation of program to implement software system capabilities
  • Work with the CSCF staff developing scripts and other tools for managing unix systems.
  • Daily monitoring of unix logs and repairing operating system issues as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • Experience conducting research in networking and software-defined networks.
  • Experience with programming languages.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

This is is temporary, non-benefited position. Length of appointment not to exceed 1 year.

M-F 9a-5p

Salary Information

$22/hr
