Details
The University of Utah’s Department of Neurology is looking to hire a research specialist to join the Neuroimmunology & Neurovirology Division research group. The applicant’s academic rank is expected to be Research Instructor or higher, but is also dependent upon applicant qualifications. Neuroimmunology & Neurovirology Division research group is focused on development of advanced research MRI of multiple sclerosis and related diseases as well as animal models of demyelinating disease. The research group has deep collaborations with University of Utah faculty in Neuroradiology, and Neurosurgery, including the development of innovative imaging to detect demyelination. Collaboration between VASLCHCS and the University of Utah have been essential to these investigations Headed by Dr. John Rose, the research group envisions creating a deeper research portfolio, to include advanced diffusion MRI protocols for MS patients and animal models funded through a VA Merit Review. It is anticipated that the faculty member would assist in ongoing funded research and apply for independent investigations including CDAs through the two institutions.
