Manage all business aspects of NYU's Orthodontics department to satisfy its mission including budgets, contract negotiations, and coordination of the daily business operations. Prepare standard budgets, letters of understanding, confidentiality forms and contracts. Work closely with the Chair of Orthodontics in recruiting new funding sources, projects, and investigators for the department. Develop and supervise all laboratories, experiments and research activities at the department adhere to OSHA and Article 28 Safety protocols and policies. Instruct faculty and students in laboratory experimentation techniques, protocols, and preparation of thesis proposals.

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in clinical sciences and,
Preferred Education:
Master's degree in clinical sciences, public health administration, or related field.
Required Experience:
A minimum of 5 years' progressively responsible experience and knowledge of healthcare services operations, including budgeting, grants and contracts management.
Preferred Experience:
6-8 years of progressively responsible experience supervising operations for multiple laboratories as well as experience in administration of biomedical research and preaward experience within NIH funded clinical research.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to supervise and ensure safety of multiple laboratories. Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to interpret College's policies and procedures and to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of excel/access business expenditures database.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of federal guidelines as they pertain to clinical administration, e.g., Department of Health guidelines and regulations. Knowledge of reviewing and editing documentations in grant applications.
