Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements.

Position Description:

The Department Coordinator III will assist and support recruitment of high school students through the coordination and hosting of on campus visits and events. Recruit, hire, train and supervise student assistants who serve as receptionists for Office of Admissions. Plan, schedule and implement group visits. Coordinate and work with Communications staff regarding web, digital communications, and publications related to visits and events. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to work with a diverse population of students, parents, and high school counselors, and the ability to multi-task and work within a team framework. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM experience is preferred. Will work traditional hours, with some nights and weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise student front desk staff.
  • Organize and implement group visits of prospective students, including tracking and collecting data to inform future planning.
  • Present information on U of L and general information on preparing and applying to college to prospective students and daily campus visit and groups.
  • Serve in counselor on call rotation for calls, emails, and walk-in visitors. Responsible for various components of large campus events for prospective students and families, including serving as lead planner for some events for c. 100-150 guests and creating event forms and other components in Slate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Presentation, supervision, and event planning experience.

Target Compensation Maximum:

$27.85

Target Compensation Minimum:

$18.56

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
