Job Summary
The Dental Therapist Senior will perform 4-handed, chair side dentistry, follow instruction as directed by dentist, and record oral examinations.
Duties include: prepare, clean and sterilize instruments, pour up models and fabricate custom trays, provide basic radiology procedures, and practice proper infection control, and aid in the presentation of post-operative instructions.
This position is for the Faculty Practice Clinic in the Dental Science Building. The successful candidate will occasionally provide backup coverage for Dental Assistants and Dental Therapists at all levels in various dental clinics and locations.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Candidates will have excellent communication and customer service skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy, understanding of dental procedure billing, ability to prioritize while representing the Faculty Patient Care Clinic in a professional, courteous manner through face-to-face communication, telephone conversation, and written correspondence.
Scheduling of patient appointments, computer experience including Microsoft Word and Excel a plus.

Preferred Education/Experience
Candidate must have experience with dental procedures, instruments, and materials as well as dental office processes.
