What we want
The School of Dentistry is looking for a skilled Dental Radiology Technician to serve as a member of the Diagnostic Sciences team. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. The Dental Radiology Technician is responsible for performing and coordinating receptionist, clerical, dental radiographic acquisition, and various other specified duties in support of clinical operations. What you need to know
Salary: $20 an hour
Work Schedule/Location: This is an on-site role with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm

Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
One year of related experience in a dental office or similar setting
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of radiographic processes and procedures
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Required Licenses and Certifications:
CPR certified
TSBDE - Registered Dental Assistant - X-Ray Certification
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
One year of experience with intraoral and extraoral dental radiographs
Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred
Responsibilities:
Operates dental x-ray equipment
Makes radiographs including intra-oral and extra-oral;
Assists faculty/staff with patient treatment related to radiology procedures.
Provides assistance to predoctoral dental, graduate and dental hygiene students as required.
Has technical and troubleshooting skills to work with software;
Sterilizes and organizes dental radiographic instruments and keeping work area sanitized.
Monitors and reports quality issues of radiographs in the clinic;
Customer service skills to ensure that patients feel comfortable during their appointment as well as being well informed about radiographic procedure performed.
Takes inventory/stock in the clinic for supplies
Front office
Screens calls and makes appointments
Assists patients with questionnaires
Enters data into the electronic patient record, files and records
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
