Position Summary Information
Job Summary/Basic Function | About This Role: Reporting to the Vice President of Student Affairs & Strategic Initiatives, the Dean of Students is responsible for policy development, administration, supervision of staff, budget development and oversight, program planning and implementation as well as providing strategic direction to departments and programs within the following areas, Greek Life, Housing and Residential Life, Student Conduct and Care, and Setzer Student Center. They will serve as chairperson of the LU Critical Assessment, Response and Evaluation Team and as advisor to the Student Government Association. The Dean of Students serves as an advocate for students and represents them when decisions that directly affect the students’ education and well-being are considered. They coordinate and implement divisional initiatives and other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Student Affairs and Strategic Initiatives.
