Position Summary
The Data Manager has primary responsibility for data collection and quality management systems for the Division of Global Women’s Health within the UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. S/he will be responsible for verifying data completeness and designing and implementing quality control checks in line with study protocols and applicable regulations and good practice. S/he will identify any errors or deficiencies and work with appropriate team members to resolve them. The Division of Global Women’s Health in the Department of Ob-Gyn supports faculty with research studies in Zambia, Malawi, South Africa and other international locations. The Data Manager will support existing protocols, and will contribute to planning for data management needs during proposal and protocol development phases.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure.

At least 3 years of experience in research data management.
Training in good clinical practices and protection of human subjects.
Good interpersonal communication, writing and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities appropriately and organize workload effectively.
