JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, this position will play a pivotal role in building and operationalizing the data necessary for the enterprise data and analytics initiatives following industry standard practices and tools.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Builds, manages, and optimizes data pipelines and move the data pipelines effectively into production for key data and analytics consumers.

Ensures compliance with data governance and data security requirements while creating, improving, and operationalizing these integrated and reusable data pipelines.

Interface in operationalizing data and analytics on behalf of the business unit(s) and organizational outcomes.

Collaborates with key business stakeholders, IT experts and subject-matter experts to plan and deliver optimal analytics and data science solutions.

Collaborates with data scientists, data analysts and other data consumers on models and algorithms developed to optimize data quality, security and governance and process into production.

Promotes culture of automation and self-service.

Evaluates current and new tools to determine if they provide value. Report any finding to supervisor to help initiate implementation.

Evaluates current technical processes to determine areas for improvement, to promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Participates in testing efforts to ensure consistent, or even automated, test plans

Assists as needed with other projects

 

Qualifications

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

 

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

 

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience working with data, databases, agile development methodologies or DevOps capabilities. (Experience in object-oriented programming languages and API design, preferred ).

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge in working with DevOps capabilities.
• Ability to perform technical analysis of current and new systems.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and experience working on cross-functional teams.
• Excellent oral and written skills.
• Ability to work across multiple deployment environments and adept in agile methodologies.
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain API’s.
