General Description / Primary Purpose
The Data Coordinator, under the direction of an Director or above, are responsible for the analytics and reporting writing within Enrollment Services.

Essential Duties


Job Function
Manage the report-writing, analytics and functional aspects of our ERP: SCT Banner Student and SCT Banner Financial Aid, and our CRM: Ellucian Recruiter and Banner Relationship Management, Enrollment Services workflows, while collaborating with ITS and other appropriate departments. Create, develop and test reports within Cognos, SCT Banner Student, SCT Banner Financial Aid and Banner Relationship Management and assist Enrollment Services leadership with process documentation and training initiatives. Create, develop and test reports within new or existing platforms to help Enrollment Services leadership monitor progress to goal on a daily, weekly and monthly basis while tracking leading indices on a year-to-year (date specific) interval. Stay on top of industry trends to ensure ES leadership has the latest and best tools on hand to make timely decisions as they relate to individual or overall areas. Provide data for studies comprehensive analysis related to enrollment trends and various other reports. Develop predictive enrollment and financial aid models using institutional, SUS and other higher education data. Provide analysis, data, information, reports and other input as requested from individuals inside and outside of Enrollment Services. Assist in the development and implementation of strategies and objectives to ensure departmental goals are met. Special projects as assigned by the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services. During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.

Attend professional seminars and conferences to keep abreast of laws and regulations affecting Enrollment Services. Represent the Office in meetings and group presentations.
Required Qualifications
This position requires either (a) Master’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization; (b) Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 6 years of direct experience.

Should have experience in data analytics. Familiarity with data structures, operational data/table structures and query-writing is preferred. Experience writing SQL queries to retrieve data. Experience in talking with clients to gather requirements for reports. Knowledge of relational databases; experience with Oracle a plus. Knowledge of IBM Cognos a plus.
