SUMMARY:

Works as part of an evaluation team to implement a process and outcome evaluation for a federally funded project that will enhance access to overdose treatment and provide increased access to treatment and housing for overdose survivors experiencing homelessness. Responsibilities will include data collection, storage, management, retrieval, report generation, data display, and data-driven activities that promote continuous quality improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working with the project director, clinical research data specialist and the lead evaluator to implement the evaluation protocol for two federally funded grant programs.
  • Assists in implementing a local evaluation of the grant programs.
  • Assist in inputting data collected from overdose survivors using the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) Client Outcome Assessment into a federal database.
  • Works with the clinical research data specialist to ensure integrity of the GPRA data being entered into the federal database.
  • Generates reports from the federal database for review by the project director.

  • Assists in gathering data for progress reporting.
  • Works with the clinical research data specialist to provide training on the data collection protocol for the two federal grants.
  • Assist in developing a project performance assessment to demonstrate the proposed goals and objectives of the project are met.
  • Assists with data collection, data management, data tracking, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Participates in regular data-driven quality improvement meetings to ensure continuous quality improvement of the project.
  • Participates in biweekly phone calls with the project director and federal project officers.
  • Works with the project director and lead evaluator in developing innovative ways to collect first responder and overdose data including longitudinal tracking of overdose survivors, and other methods.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Proficient knowledge, experience, and passion for data collection, management, storage, and longitudinal tracking of vulnerable populations and grant deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of experience collecting, managing, storing and/or reporting data in an educational, government, social services or other agency.  Flexibility to travel to and from Rowan Virtua SOM and Atlantic County, New Jersey. A team-player that can quickly build strong and caring relationships with physicians, first responders, individuals who have survived an overdose, and other project participants.
