Position Summary
Anticipate and meet strategic and tactical data requirements, designing and developing effective data architectures, documenting data and metadata comprehensively in a manner consistent with industry practice, and integrate data to promote consistency, transparency, clarity, and accuracy.


Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


  • Identify and pursue opportunities to acquire, store and deliver data more efficiently and effectively.
  • Advise upcoming and ongoing projects on data integration activities.
  • Research and investigate new and improved data sources to respond to customer needs.
  • Facilitate effective data-sharing.
  • Develop, maintain and revise effective data management practices and procedures.
  • Provide scope and time estimates for data-related activities for prospective effort.
  • Evaluate the data needs for projects and advise on approaches and solutions to meet them.
  • Develop and maintain data diagrams and models using approved tools.
  • Develop, review and revise project code and other developed content to resolve discrepancies and improve data performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with business analysis and technical analysis.
  • Prior experience as a data architect, including data modeling, data gap analysis, data quality assessment and remediation and data process review and improvement.
  • Technical knowledge.

  • Problem solving.
  • Communication (written and verbal).


Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree plus five years data related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Range
$82,500.00 - $145,200.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
