Position Details:  Please note that this position schedule varies based on the training course and the position is currently temporary for up to 10 weeks, with a salary range between $3400 and $5200 for the duration of the assignment.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Learning and Development Facilitator will support Cyber Florida’s CyberWorks workforce development training program for community members across Florida. This position will report to the Associate Director of Education & Training at Cyber Florida, and facilitate the CompTIA Security+ curriculum in support of upskilling and retraining adult learners preparing for certification examinations. The Facilitator will be a subject matter expert (SME).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role involves guiding adult learners enrolled in the CyberWorks program through instructional content and offering feedback to help them prepare for and successfully pass the SEC+ exam.
Serves as the CyberWorks training facilitator by providing training and meetings with adult learners enrolled in the workforce development program; provides supervision of CyberWorks learners.
Utilize the existing training guide provided for the course to facilitate and train adult learners enrolled in the CyberWorks training program.
Monitors CyberWorks program implementation and gathers and analyzes data associated with the CyberWorks program (e.g., attendance, learner progress and grade reports, learner feedback, etc.).
Evaluate the program and facilitate program growth.
Assists with developing reports for Cyber Florida and other stakeholders on CyberWorks program effectiveness.
Be available during office hours to aid support adult learners in the program by explaining course content and answering questions the students may have. Designate at least two one-hour periods each week (virtually).
Develop materials needed to support the adult learners in understanding the materials provided for the course.
Attend meetings to collaborate and discuss the current and potential future impacts of the programs.
Participate in virtual meetings with Cyber Florida as required.
Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
Bachelor’s degree in a field related to cybersecurity. This position requires certifications in CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+, with at least one year of experience training adult learners in a non-formal setting.
