JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, within Information Security at Penn State, is seeking a senior developer for our identity governance system, SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ). An Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) system, IIQ provides a centralized mechanism for managing and governing various types of identity and access management related information and processes across multiple systems. This includes information associated with user accounts; rules and processes for requesting, approving, and granting access to various systems; and tools and information used to review, audit, and revoke user access.

The location of this position is flexible and can operate fully remote within the United States. Standard working hours are in the eastern time zone.

This position is responsible for:

  • Collaborating with business units across the university to design, plan, and implement integration of various systems to IIQ and related technologies;
  • Communicating with leaders and IT staff aspects of the implementation at the technical and/or functional level as appropriate;
  • Writing custom code as necessary to accomplish such integrations;
  • Writing and maintaining related documentation;
  • Mentoring or guiding less-experienced staff and participating in related University IT communities.


Qualifications

This position will be filled as a Cyber Security Systems Engineer- Senior Professional. This position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 


      The successful candidate will:
      • Have the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
      • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills allowing interaction with both technical and non-technical audiences
      • Enthusiastically learn new skills and technologies
      • Possess strong problem-solving skills
      • Handle multiple priorities with close attention to detail.


      Required Skills and Experience:

      • Expertise with Java, BeanShell, XML, and SQL
      • Experience working with web services including SCIM, REST, and SOAP protocols
      • Experience with version control such as Git, IDE such as Eclipse
      • Familiarity with databases, such as Oracle and MSSQL


      Desirable Skills and Familiarity:

      • A background in Identity and Access Management or Information Security
      • Experience working in higher education, specifically, a large, distributed university
      • Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ or other identity governance systems
      • Familiarity with RBAC and Provisioning
      • Familiarity with SAP, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Workday, Salesforce
      • Understanding of the employee and student lifecycles
      • Experience with usability testing, performance testing, automated testing, test scripts, test cases and test plans

      The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:

      $86,300.00 - $129,500.00
