Position Highlights

The CyberApolis VLE Coordinator will serve as a team member of the University of Arizona's College of Applied Science and Technology Cyber Convergence Center's Overwatch team. This position involves working with the CyberApolis Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and its support to academic, government, and industry courses, training, and exercise events. This role is primarily focused on the interaction and relationship management of academic, government, and industry clients; content generation and integration; system and user support; as well as the analysis of CyberApolis VLE operations and development of system enhancement recommendations.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

This position requires a willingness to work in a program that supports both civilian and US government learning objectives, the ability to use critical, independent thinking, and the ability to effectively communicate.

The University of Arizona's College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) is a National Security Agency-designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations (CAE-CO) and an Office of Director of National Intelligence designated Intelligence Community Center of Academic Excellence (IC CAE). CAST is the only UArizona college offering a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) Degree. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with senior academic, government, and industry partners to create and maintain relationships.
  • Interact with academic, government, and/or industry clients to obtain and decompose project requirements.
  • Assist in project scoping, planning, and execution efforts. Compile and analyze data related to program administration.
  • Design, develop, integrate, and maintain AI driven virtual personas and scripted scenario data to assist in the growth of the CyberApolis VLE product offerings.
  • Assist with CyberApolis’ Proteus AI virtual persona creation and management, and its SKALD scenario creation and management.
  • Integrate academic curriculum, training and exercise materials, and other testing related content into the CyberApolis VLE.
  • Track and deconflict virtual persona and scenario content usage and versioning.
  • Assist academic, government, and industry partners content integration efforts into the CyberApolis VLE.
  • Design, develop, and maintain system and teaching materials to optimize the use of the CyberApolis VLE by academic, government, and industry personnel. 
  • Assist users in accessing and using both the CyberApolis VLE and its course/event specific content.
  • Collect and analyze system metrics and identify system and content trends.
  • Support the engineering functions and modifications of the CyberApolis Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) through the evaluation of system operations and configuration control.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the CyberApolis VLE to help improve and optimize system operations.
  • Coordinate with the C3 Executive Director, Overwatch Manager, and CyberApolis technical developers to identify system reliability issues and potential product improvements.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • Experience in supporting training and exercises. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with and/or in synthetic training environments
  • Previous experience briefing senior Department of Defense (DOD) and/or Industry leaders
