Position SummaryThe selected student applicant will assist the Environmental Engineering labs in tasks including but not limited to inventorying equipment, chemicals, samples and wastes in lab spaces labs; implementing safety and best practices protocol within the labs as advised by the lab manager; preparing lab spaces for research and course-based experimentation; performing lab experimentation or field collections as needed; maintaining professional housekeeping within labs; updating virtual databases that maintain lab safety and organization.  This position will report to either a specific CWE faculty professor or the Environmental Engineering lab manager.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge and practice of general laboratory and chemical safety.  Experience with basic aqueous chemical experimentation and sampling focusing on environmental water quality methodology.  Proficiency with latest Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.). Ability to work safely and independently on delegated tasks with attention to organization. Completed general lab safety training. Declared Civil Engineering junior or senior with completed coursework relating to environmental science and engineering.
