Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill a part-time student clerical position for the OSU Alumni Association. 
 
The OSU Alumni Association is seeking a high energy student assistant to support our customer service and the alumni membership teams. The position reports to the Director II, Administrative Operations.
Position Duties
Customer Service Administrative Duties:
• Customer service: answering phones, greeting customers, answering email inquiries
• Data entry and looking up information in alumni database
• Preparing envelopes and packages for mail
• Scanning and copying documents
• Updating information on web pages
• Packing supply boxes for events
• Preparing name tags and materials for events
• Running campus errands
• Supply inventory
• Occasionally assisting at registration for alumni events: handing out name tags, greeting guests
• Other duties as necessary
Membership Program Duties:
• Preparing membership mailings including using Excel/Word for mail merges, adhering labels to envelopes and matching correct membership cards and renew information for packets
• Data entry
• Record reconciliation
• Manage supply inventory
• Respond to member inquiries and requests via phone, email, and written correspondence

  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
    • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
    • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
    • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
    • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
    • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
