Thriving in the role of Customer Service Coordinator within Facilities Services requires a unique blend of skills and qualities. First and foremost, exceptional communication skills are vital. You'll need to effectively interact with diverse groups, including faculty, staff, students, and visitors, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously. Strong organizational abilities are essential to manage various tasks such as handling outage notices, work orders, and maintaining logs accurately. The capacity to make quick, informed decisions while exercising sound judgment is crucial, especially in handling emergency situations and routing requests appropriately. Adaptability and the capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment will be beneficial, as this role involves managing office operations and coordinating workflow effectively. Lastly, a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service are key traits that will ensure success in this dynamic and pivotal position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three to five years office/administrative experience, including customer service; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
High School graduation or equivalent.

A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria is required.


Position Details:

This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule , Grade 77, based on education and experience.
