Job Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Custodian position for the Memorial Union (MU) at Oregon State University (OSU).
The MU Custodian works alone and in a team with others to provide cleaning and general support of department efforts to sustain the buildings and assets of the MU Organization. The MU Custodian provides event support to meetings, conferences, seminars, musical events and other events. The MU Custodian can work in support of MU events within the MU; can be assigned program support within the offices or programs of the MU Building, the SEC Building, the Cultural Resource Centers, and the Child Care Center. The MU Custodian can also perform administrative and logistical support to the unit.

What You Will Need
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.
What We Would Like You to Have
  • Six (6) six months of experience performing routine janitorial duties in a commercial, educational, or public environment.
  • Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
Work shift is week nights, 4pm – 12:30 am.
Working conditions are indoors in an occupied space such as meeting rooms and offices, some wet areas such as restaurants and restrooms.
