Job Overview

Under general supervision, perform duties to provide care, cleaning and maintenance of buildings, furniture, and fixtures.


Essential Functions
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions and safety procedures for cleaning all rooms and common areas.
  • Ability to communicate with managers, supervisors, coworkers and customers.
  • Must have strong and positive interpersonal skills
  • Clean and disinfects bathrooms. Replenish supplies.
  • Empty and clean trash receptacles. Take trash to designated pickup area or incinerator.
  • Clean walls, windows, doors, ceilings, shelves, ledges, mirrors, woodwork, vents, window frames and other surfaces.
  • Sweep, mop, strip, wax, polish and renew floor surface and clean, vacuum, and shampoo rugs and carpets.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

Ability to count, read and write numbers; ability to read and understand warning signs; 3 months of experience or training in institutional or industrial cleaning is preferred.  Some positions may require a current valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.


Required Education

High School Diploma or GED

This position is 2nd shift, Sunday – Thursday, 2pm-10:30pm


Physical Requirements/Work Environment
  • Ability to lift materials weighing up to 70 pounds and be able to demonstrate full range of motion for reaching, bending and stooping.
