Provide direct supervision over in-house custodial staff. Liaise directly with the campus community in order to provide safe and clean facilities for The University of Texas at Dallas. Ability to read, write, communicate, understand written and verbal instructions in English. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Available to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends if requested.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED and 3 -5 years of custodial-related work.
  • 1-3 years knowledge and experience in green cleaning practices.  
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Position also requires a valid Texas driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • OSHA 10-Hour training
  • Custodial work in educational or institutional environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervises the duties, schedules and activities of custodial staff. Train and assist the custodial staff on work assignments.
  • Maintain and stock sanitary vending machines on campus.
  • Provide training to staff on custodial-related equipment.
  • Handle custodial-related emergencies and recycling requests from campus.
  • Meet with the custodial staff and custodial contractor on a regular basis.
  • And other duties as assigned.

A remote work schedule is not available for this position.
May be required to report to work during inclement weather.
May be required to report to work during campus closure.
