The Curriculum Coordinator with the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center functions as a team member of the Curriculum and Trainer Development Department. This position is responsible for: Curriculum Maintenance, Revisions, and Processes: Coordinates, maintains, and supports periodic revision of curricula by conducting a systematic review of existing curricula and identifying content requiring revision and updates based upon thorough research of law, regulation and policy; new interventions and innovations; and empirically based practices. Edits existing curricula as assigned. Works closely with Curriculum and Trainer Development Department Manager, Curriculum Development Supervisors, Curriculum and Instructional Specialists, internal and external stakeholders, and subject matter experts in editing and revising curricula. Provides editorial support to contracted consultants in the development of training, as assigned.  Maintains the various curriculum development processes and templates. Research: Assist and supports Curriculum Instructional Specialists as assigned by, research of law, regulation and policy, new interventions and innovations, and empirically based practices. Uses a variety of research tools. Locates and obtains copyright approval as assigned. Requests approval for Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board (CLE) credits.  In addition to the responsibilities and duties noted previously, the Curriculum Coordinator conducts instructor observations as assigned. This position participates as a team member on internal and external committees. Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned. The Child Welfare Resource Center operates in a hybrid work approach where work can be completed remotely, in the Mechanicsburg office, and in the field as necessary and appropriate. Time for this position is estimated as 85% remote work, 10% in the Mechanicsburg office, and 5% in the field.  Must be able to travel to moderately statewide throughout the Commonwealth and to the Mechanicsburg office as needed. Experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse populations preferred. A commitment to achieving equity and inclusion in the child welfare system is a must. Job Summary

Increases the reach of child welfare services by coordinating learning and networking events, bridging outside agencies and customers, and delivering regional trainings. Acts as child welfare resource to the University and externally. Schedules and monitors employee trainings.


Essential Functions 

Must be able to operate computers and other office equipment; communicate effectively with management contacts as well as internal and external contacts; perform under pressure of numerous deadlines; perform multiple job tasks and projects. A valid driver’s license to perform the essential functions is required.


Physical Effort 

Typical field travel required will be statewide throughout the Commonwealth on an as needed basis. Lift up to 30 pounds, set up, and prepare audiovisual equipment for meetings and presentations.
