Job Summary:

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applications for a Curriculum Administrative Support Coordinator. This full-time, University Staff (non-classified) position, housed in the School of Medicine’s Office of Undergraduate Medical Education is responsible for supporting the day-to-day administrative operations of the medical student curriculum. This includes provide on-campus support of daily curriculum sessions, remote support of online learning, and planning support for functions like student scheduling and course material uploads. Additionally, this position will serve as a liaison with a wide array of staff, faculty, and community partners to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the curriculum team. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to successfully manage multiple self-directed projects, which may, at times, have competing priorities. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships in the Undergraduate Medical Education program with staff peers, and leadership to support the success of the Medical Curriculum.
  • Participate in course planning, development, and coordination for curriculum groups including attending planning sessions, recording actionable meeting minutes, and collecting of material resources to be stored in centralized repositories.
  • Schedule activities for curriculum content to student schedules and ensure information about each session is available to students in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Utilize University of Colorado room reservation portal to coordinate the scheduling of rooms and event spaces for on-campus curriculum events.
  • Actively manage facilitator groups for various curriculum sessions. This includes regular session facilitators as well as a pool of substitute facilitators. 
  • Provides day or support for various curriculum sessions across the legacy, hybrid, and reformed curriculum.
    • Aids in the student learning experience by disseminating course materials and resources, capturing of student attendance, and session recordings, and facilitating technical solutions for curriculum events (i.e. Zoom support, AV, technical, etc.)
  • Manages central email curriculum inboxes, addressing inquiries and routing requests as required with an emphasis on timely, high-quality service.
  • Collaborates with other curriculum content coordinators and faculty to ensure cohesiveness across the student curriculum experience. 

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Intermediate Professional - 

  • A bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • At minimum one year of experience providing high-level administrative support in an academic environment.

Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience working at a higher education institution.
  • Prior experience working in an academic medical environment.
  • Prior experience adhering to and communicating about policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with curriculum management and coordination. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems (i.e. Blackboard, Canvas). 
  • Ability to align multiple, competing demands with established priorities, and enjoy the challenges of change.
  • Displays analytical and critical thinking skills to assist in resolving complex problems.
  • Effective and timely communications, with expectations of responses within two business days of email receipt.
  • Exemplary organization skills with an ability to work with little supervision independently and as a member of a team. 
  • Excellent attention to detail with an emphasis on personal accountability. 
  • Strong customer service disposition; able to effectively de-escalate frustrated or upset stakeholders. 
  • Must be a quick learner who is able to grasp new concepts and then successfully implement them into core tasks. 
  • Ability to independently research potential solutions, build consensus on approach and implement.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as $47,661 – $60,625.

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
