Job Title:  Cultural Dance Adjunct Faculty - Tap Dance

Job Classification:  Adjunct Faculty - Teaching; possible day and/or evening classes.

Start date of this position:  September 2, 2024 (Fall 2024 Semester)

Degree: BA. Degree in Dance is preferred.

The required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience:  Experience teaching at a university is preferred. Must have advanced skills in tap and able to teach all levels (beginning through advanced).

Duties/Expectations:

We seek an expert in the practice and theory of cultural dance with an emphasis in tap dance, to fulfill a search as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Dance. The candidate's primary duty will be to teach 1-credit beginning, intermediate or advance level courses with an emphasis in tap dance. The candidate should have an advanced level of experience with the practice and teaching of cultural dance as a performance practice at the university level. The candidate will be working under the cultural dance coordinator and the area coordinator. Required meetings will include university conference, monthly area meetings, and any additional meetings as called by the coordinator.

Must reside in the State of Utah to be eligible for employment consideration.  Must be willing to teach the course(s) in person, on campus.
