CT3 Electrician - Facilities Services Utilities

To thrive in this role the applicant must have the following:

Knowledge of principles, methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment, electrical hazards and safety precautions, for medium & low voltage systems. Skilled in installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Ability to read, interpret and work from plans, drawings and specifications; make rough sketches; follow oral and written directions; must be willing to work around and/or be trained in the abatement of asbestos containing materials. Education/ experience sufficient to perform the responsibilities of the position and to have acquired the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. Assist in responding to power outages and trouble calls and perform other skilled and semi-skilled maintenance tasks as required. Work cooperatively with other electrician, trades, operators and office personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 15 years related experience and/or training, and a valid State of Alaska Certificate of Fitness for Journeyman Electrician, or equivalent.

*A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria is required.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . Work Hours 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (unless otherwise informed).

Salary Information: CT3 /Step 1 $30.87/hr.  (See Article 9.2 in the L6070 Collective Bargaining Agreement, Wage Grade Schedule ).
