Following prescribed protocols, you will perform complex computed tomography imaging procedures in order to produce diagnostic images of the human anatomy and vascular structures. You will provide accurate image archival as well as verification and archival of complete studies on the PACS System. Your role will involve the expert operation of post-processing/3D work stations, and power injectors in the preparation and administration of IV contrast material. You will:
· Communicate pertinent patient information with nursing units
· Coordinate exams with other services
· Ensure accurate processing of radiology requisitions
· Facilitate patient transportation to the appropriate areas
· Float between various scanning areas as well as the Mobile Stroke Unit
· Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of procedures performed
· Maintain aseptic conditions and use universal precautions at all times
· Practice sterile techniques as needed
