Make a difference in Imaging!

As a Per Diem CT Technologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to work 8-hour weekday and weekend day shifts on a rotating basis. The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, uses Siemens computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patient’s internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.

Summary of Essential Duties: 

  • Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions
  • Administer contrast material
  • Prepare and operate CT scan equipment
  • Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images
  • Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading
  • Cleans and disinfects patient rooms
  • Follow infection control and safety guidelines

Education:

  • Graduate of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology program required
License/Certifications:
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiologist certification (ARRT-R) required
  • California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred or willing to obtain within one year from start date
  • Venipuncture certification required
Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist preferred
  • At least 6 months of experience with Siemens brand scanners preferred
